The tour started with the booking flight from LCCT>Kota Bahru Airport>LCCT via Airasia website on 17 May 2012 with ONLY RM45/Pax during ZERO FARE promotion. I started gather information about the island package from CARI FORUM and other related website as well. After surveyed, I found that there were many local tour agents or company which offered different types of island packages and normally, they offered as stated below:
Package A: 3D2N or 4D3N Perhentian, Rawa, Light House (Susu Dara), Redang, Lang Tengah Island & Marine Park (6 in 1) Package
Package B: 3D2N Perhentian, Rawa Island & Light House (3 In 1) Package
Package C: 3D2N Perhentian, Redang, Lang Tengah Island & Marine Park (4 in 1) Package
Package D: 3D2N Perhentian Island Free and Easy Snorkeling Package
Note: If you wish to take Package A and you are travel by flight, I will recommend you to take 4D3N (fully stay at island resort) so that you are not too rush OR stay one night at T'Lodge and depart to island on the next day early morning for 3D2N package.
For those who take flight, please take note!!!
If you stay at Perhentian Island, you should take flight to Kota Bharu Airport and take taxi to Jetty Kuala Besut, Terengganu, it takes around 1 hour drive from airport.
If you stay at Redang Island, you should take flight to Kuala Terengganu Airport and take taxi to Jetty Merang, Terengganu, it takes about 45 minutes drive from airport.
*In case you are choosing wrong way, you need to take more time to reach your destination.
For our tour, I decided to choose Zillion Travel Watersport as my travel partner for 3D2N Perhentian, Redang, Lang Tengah Island & Marine Park (4 in 1) with full board for a group with 10 people. They were good service, friendly, funny and professional especially with their tour guide. The most importantly, the company was registered. I couldn’t include the Rawa, Light House (Susu Dara) in my plan due to time constraint because I booked the flight first before planned and surveyed for the island packages.

About the land transfer from Kota Bahru Airport to Jetty Kuala Besut, you can request agent to include the airport transfer in your package as well (more convenient if you don't want arrange by yourself) or you can go there by taxi. I didn’t include the land transfer in my package as I think that it was little bit more expensive rather than we took taxi (vice versa) ourselves. Taxi fare from Kota Bahru Airport to Jetty Kuala Besut only RM78/car (4 Person) and some more cheaper if we took taxi from Jetty Kuala Besut to airport and it cost around RM72.
We all gathered at LCCT on 25 Apr 2013 early morning as we were departed to Kota Bahru Airport at 7:55 am and arrived approximately at 9:00 am. After we arrived at the airport, we directly rented three taxi (10 people) to Jetty Kuala Besut at taxi counter which cost us RM78/car and took journey about 1 hour arrived Jetty Kuala Besut . Rave Chong and his wife, Shu Lin together with Loong were waiting us at Lucky Restaurant. After distributed the snorkeling equipment mask, filling form and briefly explain the tour, we were ready to get into the Perhentian Besar Island.
All were happy with their snorkeling equipment.
