[浮罗交怡] 第一天: Telaga Habour Park > Oriental Village > Langkawi Cable Car > Langkawi Sky Bridge > Seven Wells Waterfall > Malibest Resort > Cenang Beach > Orkid Ria Seafood Restaurant

Tour started with booking flight via airasia website during ZERO fare promotion period. I booked at the price of RM38/person for KL>Langkawi>KL flight on 16 February 2012. After that, I started gathered information from Cari forum, lowyat and other websites as well. Below maps that might be useful for you during the tour:

As the time pass fast, now it was the time we enjoyed our 4D3N in Langkawi. At first, we all gathered at KL on 29 Oct before departed to Langkawi next early morning. We departed on 30 October 2012 at 7:30 am and arrived approximately 8:30 am at Langkawi Airport.

Langkawi Airport

After we arrived at airport, we directly went to car rental booth as we didn't checked in our baggage to minimize our tour budget. Lee and me managed to get the cheaper price with comfortable car after we went through many car rental booths. Before this, I had search a lot in Cari forum to avoid being cheated. Initially, we wanted to rent a Toyota Advanza for 6 persons but after discussion, we managed to rent a Nissan Serena from Indra Travel and Tour (Haniza Manshor, 012-5714382) because it was wider and comfortable than Toyata AdvanzaShe was quite nice and also recommended by most people in Cari forum. Nissan Serena cost us RM300 plus RM50 deposit from 30 Oct 2012 9am until 2 Nov 2012 2p.m. For us, the rent car price was still acceptable. As for your information, we need to pay all the money including deposit in order to get the car and the deposit would refund back after you had returned the car.

Note: Directly rent a car in airport is cheaper than booking online!
Remember: rent a car that got permit/must have safety belt/take photo for any crash/see car first before rent.

We checked the car before we paid the money

After got the car, we directly drove the car to nearby petrol station and pumped RM30 of Ron 95 before headed The Loaf where we had our breakfast for the first day. Total car petrol cost used for 4D3N in Langkawi was RM60.
The Loaf is situated along Perdana Quay facing the colourful Telaga Harbour Marina. Luxury yachts line the waterfront and several restaurants, cafes and bars combine with The Loaf to provide a lively place to enjoy a delicious meal or snack. Located just 15 minutes drive from the airport.

After breakfast and enjoying the view of yacht at Telaga Harbour, we continued our tour to Oriental Village.

Oriental Village (东方之村)

Oriental Village is best known as the home of the Langkawi Cable Car and Sky Bridge. It is a themed open-air complex with a huge lake in the centre and an art gallery, animal exhibits, clothes, souvenir and handicraft stores spread out around it plus a few local and international restaurants. It's located approximately 10 minutes drive from Telaga Harbour Marina.

Langkawi Cable Car
It is situated about 12km away from the airport (approximately 17 minutes if travel by car). From Kuah town it would be about 29km (approximately 34 minutes if travel by car) and from Cenang beach it would be about 18km (approximately 24 minutes if travel by car).

The Base Station is conveniently located on foothill of the Machincang mountain. From here, you will be taken up to the cool Machincang mountain via the cable car system. The ride will be an exhilarating experience for us to enjoy. You will also be able to catch a glimpse of the flora and fauna that surrounds the area.

Base station of Langkawi cable car

The main purpose we went to oriental village was to take the cable car and went through suspension skybridge. Unfortunately, the suspension skybridge is closed for maintenance until Apr 2013. We purchased sky cab ticket with RM15/pax (with MyKad).

Seven Wells Waterfall (七仙井-瀑布)

It's known as "Telaga Tujuh" and it's near to oriental village. We drove the car to there and the car parking cost us RM2. After finished visited the Seven Wells Waterfall, we were tired and bought the coconut for released our thirsty. It cost us RM12.

 脚力要够好, 要不然会累死你噢!

Seem like everyone was tired in the middle way.

 Your distance!

Lee Qin was enjoyed laying on a big rock and surrounded by cool water.

Laying on a big rock, soaked our feet into cooling water and enjoyed the peaceful moment with scenery view.

Walking path towards waterfall after coming down from seven wells which is situated middle way to seven wells.

Seven wells waterfall..nothing surprising! smaller than Kota Tinggi waterfall.

On the way towards Pantai Cenang from seven wells waterfall..

At about 5pm, we changed our clothes and drove toward our resort for check in. It was situated at Pantai Cenang. I booked the resort on 11 Oct 2012  which cost us RM170/night for Standard Superior Room [2 Queen Beds for 4 persons] not inclusive breakfast and stayed on 30 Oct 2012. It was located by the beach without sea facing and double storey building. Additional mattress will be charged RM20 nett each. Overall, the room we stayed quite far from administration and bathing heater not function and caused us getting cold during bathing in the morning. The other stuffs were ok.
Note: You need to pay deposit of RM50 for getting the key card and they would refund back to you after check out.

Resort Information:
Malibest Resort

Pantai Cenang, Mukim Kedawang, 07000 Langkawi, Kedah Darul Aman, Malaysia.

Check in: 1500 & Check out: 1200.

If you book this resort, I would recommend you to take Deluxe Superior Room (RM190/night) because it's sea facing even though it's more expensive but worth.

Pantai Cenang
At about 5:30pm, we checked in the resort and took a rest. After that, walking around Cenang Beach and simply watch sunset at Pantai Cenang. You also can do water sports, lounge on deck chairs. For me, I preferred resort or motel which is located by beach side.

Pantai Cenang view from Malibest Resort.

Middle photo: small island but don't know what's the name..

The plate far away showing: "Langkawi Permata Kedah". The most people do water sports at Pantai Cenang.

Watched sunset at Pantai Cenang..still early...haha...

Orkid Ria Seafood Restaurant (真浪花园海鲜餐馆)
We dined at this restaurant for the first night and it was also recommend by Cari forum. The seafood is fresh but quite pricey if compared with Kuah Town. Hmm..The food taste so great because I thought they put a lot of MSG or Maggie powder. The dinner cost us RM171. Business Hour: 11.00am - 3.00pm and 6.00pm - 11.00pm. Address: Lot 1225, Jalan Pantai Cenang, 07000 Pulau Langkawi, Kedah D.A. Tel: 604-955 4128.

fried squid: RM28, sea cucumber: RM18, fish (700g): RM49, mix vegetable & kangkung & cabbage: RM48, soup: RM12, rice: RM9, teapot: RM5, Ice: RM2

After dinner, we walk along the Pantai Cenang street to search whether got any handicraft or souvenir that worth to buy. Besides that, we also looked for island hopping package for 2nd day tour. Unfortunately, Coco Valley was closed early than we expected as we walked there to buy some beer because it was cheaper than other places. So, we bought some beers at nearby shops and enjoying drinking at resort.

Day 2: Breakfast Bar > Cenang Beach (真浪沙滩) > Island Hoping (Singa Besar Island, Dayang Bunting Mable Geoforest Park & Beras Basah Island) > Coco Valley > The Zone Shopping Paradise > Bahagia Hotel > Wonderland Food Store (欢乐天) > Perniagaan Haji Ismail > Langkawi Fair Shopping Mall & Billion
